Yingli Group was founded in 1987 by Mr. Miao Liansheng. Yingli Group entered the photovoltaic industry in 1993 and was the earliest photovoltaic manufacturing enterprise in China. In 1999, Yingli Group undertook the country's first 3MW polysilicon solar cell and application system demonstration project, which passed the acceptance in 2003, filling the gap in the commercial production of solar cells in China. In 2007, it entered the field of green building materials (BIPV) industry and create a brand named “Gain Solar” and in 2017, the first national zero-carbon research institution was launched by Yingli group in. Yingli has four national research and development platforms, including the State Key Laboratory of Photovoltaic Materials and Cells and the State Key Laboratory of Energy Photovoltaic Technology since 2010, we have been invested a total of 3.5 billion yuan in R&D and more than 33GW of Yingli products have provided green, low-carbon and clean power to more than 100 countries and regions around the world.
"Yingli Solar " used to be a wholly-owned subsidiary of Yingli Group. It was listed on the New York in 2007 with the stock code YGE, mainly involves the production and manufacturing of traditional photovoltaic modules. In 2012 and 2013, it ranked first sales volume in global. At the same time, it sponsored the 2010 World Cup in South Africa and the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
In 2011, Europe and the United States started lanti-dumping and countervailing investigations against Chinese PV manufacture, which had a serious impact on the overseas business of "Yingli Solar". Due to funding issue, in 2016, "Yingli Solar" began debt restructuring and it was completed in 2018 , Yingli Group sold "Yingli Solar" to Baoding Municipal Government. From then on, "Yingli Solar" no longer belonged to Yingli Group, Yingli Group and "Yingli Solar" became two independent entities.
Currently, Yingli Group is a leading global provider of green energy solutions. The business has two major segments: PV and urban services, PV business part with four subsidiaries.
-YC Solar: Traditional module manufacturing with 6GW capacity;
-Gain Solar: R&D, PV customization service and BIPV green building materials;
-Yuansheng Construction: EPC
-Yunying O&M: Operation and maintenance of photovoltaic power plants.
Therefore, Yingli Group is still led by Mr.Miao as before. After reorganization, not only the solar module has been upgraded, but also EPC services can be provided,Yingli Group is moving towards a better future to provide green energy for all.
